Refuse To Convict; We Have The Ultimate Authority

It’s been a while since I’ve had much to say here on LiarCop.com; that changes here and now, with the passage of SB 1160 by our “legislature” here in Connecticut.

This is how I see it:

  • No one ever gave these erstwhile “lawmakers” the authority to legislate away a core Constitutional right under both the Federal Constitution and the Connecticut State Constitution.  No living human has that authority.

  • What passed is blatantly, egregiously unconstitutional; I don’t need a black-robed martinet, appointed by a corrupt politician and whose salary and benefits are paid by the State, to tell me what is and isn’t constitutional, and neither do any of you.

  • In spite of demonstrated public opinion running against them by more than 9 to 1, these statist skunks passed SB 1160 anyway, publicly admitting that it’s something they’ve had on their agenda for 20 years, but could only get passed by shamelessly exploiting the victims of Newtown. Regardless of any of their uttered platitudes, what they passed had nothing to do with making anyone safer (except maybe for themselves...) Add to this that they did it in direct violation of our Public Meetings laws, behind closed doors and away from the eyes of the public.

  • I have yet to hear a single CLEO or even a patrolman stand up and state clearly that they will refuse to enforce said unconstitutional law, and this should tell you all you need to know about them; they are the instruments of the State’s violence against the peaceable citizens, mere jack-booted thugs, and should be treated as such. They are worthy only of our disdain. Many of your CLEOs were lobbying the legislature against your rights. This is specifically true of the State Police.

  • Given all of the foregoing, I believe that we, as free citizens of the State of Connecticut and of the United States of America, with whom the ultimate authority rests, are morally obligated to not comply with an unconstitutional law. If we are called for jury duty, we are morally obligated to nullify said law by refusing to convict anyone charged under it. You only need one of us on a jury to hang it.

  • Few like to talk about it, but we all know why the Founders put the crystal-clear text of the Second Amendment, and the even more clear Article 15 into the Federal and State Constitutions. Our God-given right to keep and bear arms has nothing whatever to do with hunting or even self-defense. We all know world history; the first act perpetrated against a people by a tyrant is disarmament. It’s up to us, here and now, to decide whether we will allow ourselves to be disarmed. I've already made that choice; now it's your turn.
